Social distancing has isolated and stressed all of us, but it has caused teens to lose valuable opportunities to practice their social skills, and make and keep friends. Peer Connection is critical for tweens/teens’ well-being. With the current emphasis on lost academic time, learn how to ensure social-emotional development skills don’t fall by the wayside. Many school administrators and teachers are hard at work implementing programs to address Social Emotional Learning (SEL) during distance learning, but parents you can also do many things at home to strengthen your teens’ social skills.  This will lead to not only emotional well-being but also better choices and academic performance.
